Well yeah, that is why I am doing this whole reef tank thing; to learn as much as I can before I transfer in the fall. I've yet to take any courses that pertain to marine science so I don't know much about it...yet.

As for my 0, 0, 0....when I first started my tank it was Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, and Nitrate were always around 5-20. But for the past 4 weeks or so they have been at a steady 0. Like...no questions asked bright yellow on my API test kits.

I'm thinking it's going to be my salinity, to be honest. My LFS (Fintastic), is known for having higher salinity in their water that you buy from them. The manager admitted it himself when he tested my salinity last time. My Refractometer comes in the mail this upcoming week and I will make sure to use it ASAP.

As for C02, no I do not smoke nor would I smoke indoors. I open my windows when I can but it has been cold lately and raining every day for the past week. I'll do that aerator option tomorrow when I get home from work.

Forester, as for my temp...I use one of the external stick ons at the opposite end of the tank that my heater is on, and I also use the coralife external digital from foster&smith.
