SEXY. The shallow reef will be easier to light and work in, plus it is so awesome to be able to look top-down into the tank. Can't wait to see this build thread.

I like it but I really think you should consider euro-bracing it the whole way around.

I thought about this but euro bracing would take away the whole open top thing. This will be a very unique system. One of a kind. KWIM

Since this is 3/4" acrylic one center brace should do. But if i need to add some triangular corner braces i will.

My shallow reef is euro-braced and it doens't take away from the top at all. My tank is only 48"X24"X12" and the eurobrace adds about a 3" lip around the entire tank. I'll try to take pictures of it and show you.

Yeah I think it will be risky with that much water volume and no top support.

Can't wait to see it up and running.

Ok big thanks to Wreckdiver he came up and brought the weldon #4 and #16 and he got mt center brace and corners put on thanks again wreckdiver u da man. and if any one needs an acrylic sump ya might wanna check him out
