Default how to build a refugium?

Wondering how hard it would be to build a small one to hangon the back of my 30gal. I can't drill into the tank as its full with water and animals. Would I be able to find everything I need at Home cheap po? I used a HOB filter before but its hard to really fit anything in that way. Or maybe if someone has had success with the HOB filter idea let me know. Thanks

You can find everything you need to build one so to speak, but you will have to learn acrylic to make the refugium out of. Is that what you had in mind or was you wanting something simpler?

Old Aquaclear filters make great HOB refugiums.

I have a old millenium 2000 HOB but it needs a new impellar I think. Wouldn't think the motor would be bad as the impellar spins then stops and spins. Magnet is maybe bad. Thing is there not much room? Unless you mean a large aquaclear? I have the lighting a 10,000K 9watt CP bulb with reflector.

Yes, hangs on back with no drilling. I will get a picture tomorrow and take measurements.
