My question is a .006 difference a problem?

Just add some RO/DI and get it down to the level you want. I usually add 1g of RO/DI to ever 5g container I add.

I might start doing a weekly test on this water and make note of the tide and such and see how it differs

There is a log somewhere. I will talk with the guys at the AC center and see if they can post it on the bulletin board.

Thats a good idea to test it everytime. My water has been in a bucket for almost two weeks. How long can they sit in buckets with lids on them outside?

Be careful b/c anything that was alive could be dead after being in stagnent water for 2 weeks. I dont let mine sit over a day or two without some type water movement.

Hmm then should I even use mine then? It is maybe two weeks old maybe not that long. Maybe I won't use the local water anymore since its a hike to drive to get such a small amount.

Where in ILM do you live that its such a hike? Do you have a RO/DI setup? What size tank do you have that going to get 20 gallons is a waste vs spending 20 bucks for sale water in a store.

I live just out past Mrtyle Grove towards Fort Fisher. Its only a 30gal tank, but we have all the stores we need down the street and my Wife and I work at the Hospital. So we never go out that way very often. Once every couple months thats it towards Richlands for family.
