if you wake up tonight go check your trap cause I think if he stays in there too long he might figure out how to get out and if the clown does happen to get in there we dont want him to become the bait ...if your following me

I had to use a smaller bottle cause it was in a bio cube 14 .. u could use a bigger bottle if you want ...oh one more thing since it is a large tank ...if you have some fishing line tie it to the trap so you dont have to reach to your shoulder to get it out ..

Trust me...whatever this is...I'll be sharing the pics with you guys. I really want to get our tanks cleaned up so I can post some pics of both so everyone can see how well all our fish/corals are thriving. I can only do limited amounts of glass cleaning and such cuz the toddler always tries to "help" me and I have to stop to clean up his mess!

If I can get this joker out and get that hair algae under control, the 120 is gonna look AWESOME!

One step ahead of you hon! I've got it anchored with some line so I can pull it out without having to take a bath...thankfully the clowns have shown no interest in the trap at all. Max and Ruby were all, "Meh...whatever." And Guy, the GSM...well he's busy with his pulsing xenia. I have the strangest critters ever, y'all.

If it's a mantis I will be glad to give the offender a new home.

Actually IReef is right. If it's something cool: Mantis, big worm, pistol shrimp, etc. I will take it off your hands.

I didn't catch anything last night...but I did see something very interesting.

I woke up around 4am and grabbed a flash light to make sure I didn't have a whole mess of tiny hermits and snails eating my bait. Y'all, I don't even know what that thing was. I think it's a bristle worm but holy crap. He was about a foot long and so fast! And he was *shredding* the bait and pulling tiny pieces outside the trap to eat.

Now I've never seen these guys actually eat but that was some crazy stuff. He would extend into the trap and up to the bait, then quickly contract and expand over and over until he shredded off a few bits of the shrimp and then happily munched outside the trap.

I saw the general area that he was hiding in last night and so when I start my rock scrubbing, that's where I'm gonna start. I'm also gonna rebait the trap and see if perhaps I can catch him in there but I'm doubtful.

Sorry Joe, doesn't look like I've got any cool hitch hikers to donate to you. Maybe next time LOL!
