Protein Skimmer question

So I got to looking online for what the meshwheel Mod is and that is definantly something I'm going to have to do. While I was looking I found this site

and I'm thinking I'm going to do the recirc Mod as well. I did increase the size of the venturi inlet which I'm wondering why my venturi is glued in place (I didn't do it). I also Kind of made a mesh wheel by wrapping some fishing line through the pins on my wheel... I have almost doubled by foam head. Very excited! So I guess I didn't have enough air in the skimmer. Thank you guys so much for the advice or I wouldn't of figured this out... I'll post some pics when i do the recirc Mod... it'll be really cool!
