Excellent...Best of luck.
Research the red scooter. They have a diet (pods) that only a mature tank with a can sustain.

Congrats on the new fish! It is always exciting to finally have a fish swimming around! What are your tank parameters?

I generally don't recommend damsels. They have the advantage of being cheap but they are mean. Many a damsel has killed a far more expensive fish.

Yeah, but the yellow tails are usually fairly placid. Not always, but usually.

Don't get a scooter if you just set your tank up, please. Damsels were my 1st fish too and after a few months I gave them away!

What size is your tank and such?

Congrats on the first fish!!! I agree though damsel are not usually a recommended fish to start off with as they usually quickly get taken out once other fish get put in as they become bullies pretty fast. not trying to worry you at all and you will probably be ok, but just something to be prepared for. Although if i was going to add a damsel to my tank i to would pick the yellow tails as the yellow tails like Matt said can be some of the less aggressive ones but each fish is different so hopefully they will work out just fine for you. they are nice looking fish and add some nice color too. Typically chromis are good fish to start with, they are pretty hardy and make a nice little school if you have a pretty good size tank. Good luck and post some pics

as far as i can tell i got thousands of pods hangin out in one large shell and all over the glass ( at least thats what i belive/hope they are from the reading i done on them) little tiny white things that favor the shape of a shrimp bout the size of a grain of salt) maybe juvenile pods? from what i read when they are real young they swim around alot is this true? i also got a few bigger ones i seen over on the sand and rocks
