Default NYAquatics.com :(

I put a livestock order in with them and the fish I received was awful looking. They looked beat up. The wrasse has mouth rot or something and I have lost 5 out of 10 chromis so far and 2 anthias. I have never seen fish look so bad from a company. There shipping is also high. I would not recommend anyone order from them.

Sorry mods if this is in the wrong place please move it.

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't turn out well for you. Did you contact them and ask them to make it right? (Moved the thread to Other Fish and Aquaria Discussion)

Yeah looked at getting a bunch of anthias when they were on sale for $9.99 but shipping was going to be $80. Also, they make you enter cc info to get a quote on shipping - and my cc info was stolen a day or two after looking in to getting the anthias on the site. Not saying it was definitely bc of that, but just noting the correlation.

Enter CC info instead of a zip code for shipping? That's ridiculous. That would keep me from ordering right there.

+ infinity^10

Nobody gets the cc stuff until the purchase itself is happening.

Lobster, if I were you, I'd do what I can to track down the state (and city if possible) of origin of the fraudulent purchases. If it's close to the place these guys ship from, you may have your answer. File a BBB claim, maybe? Contact the local police department and give them the dates and such of the mishap and all the info regarding the situation. You never know, they may be legit, but have a scam artist for an employee and not know about it.

I think it is a shady business practice (at best) to need all that info just for a shipping quote. There really is no excuse for that.
