If you normally keep windows open but you've been keeping them closed recently, that could be it.

Yeah when it was at 8.0 I was able to keep my windows open for a few hours each day. Then it rained/snow for a week so I've had them closed since.

I think it is excess CO2 in your tank as well. Assuming your alkalinity is really 10dkh, that would be my best guess. You may also want to double check your alkalinity with another test kit to make sure you are getting accurate results. If you don't have sufficient flow and aereation you will get a surpressed pH. Do you have your tank all closed off within your stand and canopy? Do you have a fan or anything blowing across the top of the water in the tank or sump to improve gas exchange? You may also want to check your pH with another kit as well to be sure that reading is not off.

I've tested my Alkalinity with my API Test Kit as well as taken it to my LFS where they use Sera test kits. Still 10dkh. Also, I have a Koralia 3 and a 4 in my tank, so there is definitely plenty of flow, and people that have seen pics of my tank on here know I have great movement on the top of my water. I have them both angled slightly up to take care of that. Not to mention, I have a protein skimmer as well. The top of my tank is open. I don't use covers nor a canopy.
