Glad to hear some have had positive results with induced chemicals on the market. I personally am leery when it comes to using 'sludge busters', with the exception of Dr. Tims 'Waste Away', for the sake of creatures though.

I've not had Cyanobacteria in many years. When my tank got some and it started spreading, I used Erythromycin because I wanted to fight the gram negative bacteria which for whatever reason did not affect the beneficial gram positive bacteria with the only drawback being a rise in nitrates which are easier to address. With the possibility of oxygen reduction, I used a good air stone until my issues with cyano were resolved, and afterward a good water change.

Just wanted to write this in case others are leery about harsh stuff out there.
