Im setting up a 8x4 pond for my catfish. For anybody who has a pond, where did you get your liner? Im looking for one thats at least 10x15? So far firestone seems to be the best, is this true? One my last pond I made the mistake of using a PVC liner. It ripped in under a year?
Home | Inland Tarp & Liner (click on liners) has good quality polyethylene pond/lagoon liners in 12,16,20,24,30 & 40 mil. thickness. A 12 mil. 12X12 is about $25, and a 12 mil. 16x16 runs about $44 (shipping on the 16x16 is $13.00). The company has a 10% off deal - good till March 31, 2012.
We sell Firestone PondGard 45 mil pond liner. It is the only 45 mill rubber liner with a 20 year warrantee that covers everything but punctures, nobody covers punctures. It is UV stable, will not shrink or discolor and is soft and pliable at temperature extremes and does stretch.
Firestone is the most expensive but it is the best and you will not need to replace it ever. Be careful of Aquascape brand liner. It is produced by Carlyle Rubber Corp. which is a roofing material company. This liner is NOT UV STABLE and NEEDS to be covered to protect it from the sun. Firestone can be exposed to sunlight without damage.
We sell the Firestone 45 mil for $.95 per square foot. A 10x15 liner weighs 45 pounds and would cost approx. $17.00 anywhere in NC.
A pond can add a lot to the aesthetic value of your property. When I had built a pond in my backyard, I used Pondpro2000 flexible EPDM Pond Liner and that was a really great experience. You can also purchase it from here: https://secure.websolhost.com/@pondp...rder/index.php
