Amano shrimp

No, not a rare event, but newborn Amano larvae are planktonic and you need to transfer them to saltwater for a few weeks. After they metamorphose into bottom-dwelling shrimp then they can go back to freshwater. Definitely more work than cherries and bee shrimp that dont have a saltwater phase. There's a program on freshwater shrimp & crayfish keeping at the RAS meeting next Thurs (Feb 7) if you're interested.

It is interesting info!!! Thanks...
Amano shrimps carry eggs in freshwater is normal...but to raise the young is impossible in freshwater

The crypt didn't do well recently, the leaves and its body got rotten even I put a flourish tab right next to it. Still looking for a plant to replace it:(

Big news for me...my fire red is pregnant...i just watched her last night and there come out these wonderful yellow eggs...so excited...I have to move all the endlers and guppies to another tank to protect these coming generation...
