So...I've been "out of the hobby" for a while now, with a fish only tank that I bought from Petsmart (yayyyy). Anyway, I've decided to get back in and focus on a few specific things instead of going all out.

My old setup was an Elos Mini mixed-reef with Anenomes, SPS, LPS, Softies, etc...etc...and I had to dose daily. I also had LED's and a few other nifty gadgets. It became very overwhelming and I decided to call it quits. Anywho...enough back story, here is some new info!


Tank (custom built by NewLifeTanks.com):
-24.5x24.5x18'' 3/8'' Glass
-Back glass painted black
-Black Silicone
-Custom center/back overflow with 1 1/2'' drain and 1 3/4'' return.

Stand (custom built by Bmatthall):
-24.5x24.5x36'' Cabinet Grade Plywood
-2x4'' and 1x1'' supports
-6'' top shelf
-Stained Dark Mahogony
-Painted white on the inside for reflective purposes

Filtration:
-Custom 10g Sump (by me)
-3 compartments
a. Drain/Filtersock/Pumps for 2x Media Reactors (1 carbon/1 biopellets)
b. Refugium
c. Baffle w/ bubble diffuser and MAG 7 return pump
-5g standard tank for ATO (Avast Marine ATO unit)

Flow:
-Vortech MP10
-2 lock-line returns to stimulate the surface

Lighting:
-Coralife Aqualight T5HO 4x24w w/ Lunar LED's
-ATI Bulbs (Blue+, Coral Plus, AquaSpecial, Blue+)

Why?

Larger overflow, larger holes for bulkhead accomodation, new silicone.
