September 17th, 2016 Meeting Featuring Dana Riddle RASOC is proud to present DANA RIDDLE September 17th 2016 2PM-4PM Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte - 1613 E Morehead St Charlotte, NC Raffle/Auction for club members to follow Dana's presentation. Come join us in Charlotte for an exciting presentation by Dana Riddle, one of the most respected researchers in our hobby! Dana has lived in Hawaii for years and this has allowed him to study coral reefs all year round. His lab is set up to examine corals in their natural environment and relate their requirements to artificially-created conditions aka your tank. Dana is the author of the book "The Captive Reef" and has over 100 articles published in American and European hobby literature, and other publications such as MASNA’s newsletter, Breeders’ Registry, Koralle, Récifal, Advanced Aquarist, Planted Aquaria and Manhattan Reefs. He has made presentations at many local, regional and national conferences over the years. To date, he has made over 60 presentations from coast to coast. In 2011, Dana was awarded MASNA’s ‘Aquarist of the Year’. RASOC has the pleasure of hosting Dana right after this year’s MASNA presentation. He is going to give that presentation to the club and the subject is: Synergistic Effects of Light, Water Flow, and Alkalinity in other words, how to optimize conditions for coral growth. |
