Today in my new 28g bio cube i noticed a white multi armed thing in the tank. i turned on the light and it moved so i know it is alive doing some research i came across...Luidia ciliaris Seven-armed starfish

it has 7 arms or 7 points is all white and goes and hides when the light comes on maybe 1/2" across its pretty small

not sure how i got it i didnt add it and now i dont know how or what to do .. will it eat my corrals?

anyone have any info? internet is somewhat sketchy on this breed

pics are blurry or id post them and now its hiding

Sounds like an asterina star.
You will hear mixed reviews but generally speaking the white ones are pretty much a safe bet. They multiply by dividing. If you have a seven armed one that is 1/2" you will probably soon have one three armed and one four armed half-starfish. Typical and very common live rock hitchikers. If they get too many you can pick em out by hand.

asterina starfish probably. Like most genus, there are bad kinds, but you rarely see them.

I think you mean...as in most genus, there are undesirable species? Lol...family? Species is the end of the latin name. ;)
