AutoAqua Smart ATO Question

1760 Views 14 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  OBXGyrene
I am looking to purchase an AutoAqua Smart ATO and have three questions I hope that someone who owns one may be able to answer:

What is the length of the cord that runs from the power supply to the smart controller?

What is the length of the cord that runs from the smart controller to the DC pump?

What is the depth of the wet side of the smart controller?

In advance, thanks for any responses.

I have one and each cord is approximately 4' long. The wet side is about 1/2" thick

Thanks BMW540. That's exactly what I was looking for.
One more question. What is the ID of the tubing used for the pump?

I can measure it later, but the ATO comes with about 5' of tubing.
Thanks again for the response. What I was hoping to find out was the inside diameter (ID) of the tubing, i.e. 1/2 inch, 3/8 inch, etc.
OK. I just located the info I was looking for about the pump. Dimensions are 1.6 x 1.45 x 1.35 inches. The hose is 5/16 ID. Boy, this thing is really small. Looks perfect for a biocube.
Yeah, the pump is really small. I have one as well and after some initial tinkering I've been thrilled with it.
I'm running one as well and very happy with it. I couldn't find any way to mount the bracket on the rim of the sump (using a 55g standard tank), and ended up breaking the piece and making something to fit my needs.
I ordered one today. Can't wait to get this set up. What do any of you do when performing water changes? Turn the ATO Off? Don't want it to try to pump fresh water to replace the saltwater that I am removing.
Do you guys have any photos of the sensor next to something to compare it in size?

-Dave
I did not take any photos but here's what the sensor unit looks like in comparison to a Quarter.

The bottom line is that this piece of equipment is very small. I received mine a few days ago and installed it in about 15 minutes (that time included routing the vinyl tubing and power connections). Since I installed it, I am quite pleased. It works very well and seems to be a good $150 investment. I have this installed in chamber 3 of my 29 gallon BioCube, along with the return pump and the stock UV sterilizer.

If you need dimensions of any of the parts, I'll be glad to do it for you.

Love mine as well. The $150 is a great price when you consider everything you need is included, pump, hose, clamp etc.
