baby time

My emerald cories spawned again and the eggs hatched a couple of days ago. There are 4 babies. I had 10 survive from the last spawn that grew up and are now in my other tanks. I also have baby ghost shrimp from last night in a little net baby nursery hanging into another tank. I love it! I'd love to try other shrimp now. Now if I can just get rid of all the ramshorn snails.

Now it'll be funny if you have a little mobile over the tank with little people attached. :)

If you use a botia loach,Just move the fish and shrimp over to another tank,to be on the safe side,They are snail assassins,No need to use chemicals, this is all natural.....Just a thought....
Thanks, I have been holding off getting a loach to kill them but picking them out is futile. I don't think using a trap will help either. Guess I'm going to have to get a loach. Once it eats all the snails will it eat regular fish food or do I have to keep feeding it snails?
Yes Botias will eat most kinds of fish food (and fish eggs !!!) Skunk botia is a good snail-killer and stays smaller than most species. Botia sidthimunki is probably the smallest and most peaceful, but any botias can get a little rowdy sometimes.

You can always use assassin snails, 5 per 15 gallons.
