I am in the middle of transitioning tanks and want to put my small ish diamond goby in a temporary home. He does eat food out of the water column. Will he be ok for a few weeks with little or no sand to sift? He will have some rocks to hide under.
I have kept a couple of different species of sand sifters in one of these with some sand for a few weeks while transitioning tanks or monitoring feeding. They make a nice HOB refugiums as well.
Since it is temporary, I might would put a Tupperware container in there with some sand in it if you don't want to put sand in the actual tank right now
Yes mine does too, right out of the water column. I was just concerned that they still need sand to sift.
I think I have a setup for him!
