Has anyone ever had a Flame Hawk that attached other fish. I purchased one about two weeks ago. He has not messed with my shrimp. Got up this morning and something had attached my Chromis and he was missing an eye. Surprisingly enough the Chromis was still alive. Got home tonight and notice my blue spotted Jawfish was all beat up. When I fed I saw my hawk fish attacking him. I have caught the jaw fish and he is a small in tank refugium that I have. I have a fish trap trying to catch the hawk fish. I have had hawk before and I have never had one do this.

I know that I acquired a flame hawk for the same reason. I put him in my "thug" tank, where everyone in there is mean, and he's fine now.

I have a flame hawk and he is an absolute terror . I have personally watched him take out 3 fish and counting

It is weird. This the 3rd or 4th one that I have had. I have never had one be aggressive until now. So far, he has not messed with the shrimp or my gobies or my neon dottyback.

I started finding some dead fish in my tank and i come home yesterday to find a small clown dead and the other one with its fins tore up and a green chroma with an eye about to fall out
i tried to catch him but its tough in a 150 so i waited till it got dark and took my flashlight and blinded him for about a minute then with the light still on it i scooped him right out and into the sump he went. I have not seen him do it but im pretty sure it was the culprit after reading this post. Time will tell i guess i should have done a little more research:behave:
