I received a free 29 gal Biocube stalked with 2 clowns, a purple dotty back, 5 lbs of live rock and an over abundance of aiptasia. After about 4 or 5 months after transferring the tank to its new home. I've gotten rid of that pesky purple dottyback, 25 lbs of live rock, RBT anemone, Kenya Tree coral, and a new Yellow Clown Goby.

My parameters have been in check...except for nitrates. They've always read hi on the API test. So I bought a Salafert test and it's still reading 50. I've been battling the high nitrate issue, but everything in the tank is doing great. Everything that I've added has never had a problem. So my battle continues with nitrates.

Welcome to CFT! Glad to have some more folks from around Johnston County! Sorry to hear about your Nitrate troubles. If you need some help or suggestions on how to get them under control go start a thread under the General Saltwater section and I am sure between all of us here we can help you figure it out.
