any thoughts on what cause a low flow coming out on my RODI unit. it is a BRS 5 stage unit. i bought it used and the seller said the filters were changed 3 months ago. i ran it today for 3 hours straight and I know i didn't get more than 5 gallons of water. any ideas

Could be your water pressure? I wonder the same thing as I get less than the flow rated on my unit. My only guess was my water pressure is probably below average.

So what is it rated at? Mine is 75 GPD and it probably takes between one and two hours to get 6.5 gallons.

i believe it is 75 gpd also. i just seemed to be running slow

I always think they seem slow, especially considering the amount of waste water that it generates.

Most units will run slow, your typical household pressure run 30-40 and most units are designed for 60-70. Doesn't hurt them just inefficient.

It's the water pressure for me. It took 52 hours to make 47 gallons.

Cold water will also make them run slower

My water psi is 35 .lbs which takes about two & a half days to fill a 44 gal. brute trash can.I bought a booster pump, but have not used it yet. Hoping that will speed things. Once I filled my tank on the initial set up I've not needed the rodi water. After the cycling I will need to replace 50% of the water to lower the nitrates and do by- weekly water changes. Will report back soon.
