Hi. I live in Durham, and this is what they put in our tap water:

Chloramine (CLNH3)
Zinc Orthophosphate (ZnPO4)
Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH)
Fluoride (H2SiF6)

What's the best product+process to condition this water for a freshwater tank?

Thanks!

(or should I buy bottled/distilled h20?)

It is not always best to go with RO.... It depends on what you want your water to be at the end. What is your desired pH etc?

I use tap water with SeaChem PRIME conditioner

I live in Durham and use Prime as well. No problems here, use it in my 10 and 55 gallon tanks.

im sure these are freshwater fish so no worrys on the water with normal fish
prime is what everyone uses and it works great!

unless you have some high $$$ rare fish that need super soft water the tap water and prime will be fine
