Was curious how your sump/refugiums are set up.. I'm currently using chaeto, flame algae and mangroves with a coralife protein skimmer. I think I have a few too many mangroves cause only a couple seem to actually grow well. Other than that I think it looks cool and does an excellent job on naturally filtering the water.

This is the sump for my 58. Obviously, I could use a new stand and some place to store those filter socks! Aqua C Urchin S, BRS combo reactor, refugium, Sicce return pump.

Yodahart,I was wondering why you would want to put 3 axial fans on your sump.If it was for cooling purposes would it not work better on top of your tank where there is more surface area for evaporation,I can not see how air being blow across the small area where they are located would be of benefit, and more than likely possibly boosting the smell of the skimmate from your skimmer because you would be just circulating the air in that area....Just wondering...

Mine has not seen water yet but the design is to have return sandwiched between skimmer section and refugium section. The fuge side is 12 high and skimmer side is 10 side. This way I can control flow to five side ( slower) and if I want can cut off water to fuge and turn into emergency or QT tank.
