So I bought a used 9002 skimmer with the tank I bought and wanted to ask some questions to anyone who has owned or used one. So it has the in tank cup with it so you know. I have connected everything and hooked it up in my 34 gallon solana. Question is 1: Does it take any amount of time to get adjusted to where it will skim usually? 2: How much air should i be letting in. I have the knob turned about halfway open, maybe less. And 3: does the collection cup usually just sit on top or is there supposed to be something kepping it in there? Any help would be nice. Thanks.

1} all skimmers have break in period
2) that all depends on how wet you want your skimate
3)the cup just sit there

on a side note this skimmer is super sensitive to water level ensure your water stay at the same level all the time or you will not get great skimate

Yea I know about skimmers, I was just wondering about this one in particular. Had never used one. Ive had skimmers before so I know it takes a minute to dial in. The air screw seems to turn for days is why I asked about that. Its all good though. It was skimming great within a couple hours. Thanks.
