That is pretty neat.....The irony is that a lot of the people that were commenting on being able to pickup their own corals and live rock if they were there,If you check out their posts and comments from past posts on that web site ,You would see them screaming buy captive breed not wild caught............

I saw a couple of comments that were conservation related, but it looked like they got squished fairly quickly. I wonder what the rules are about collecting from the wild are in his area.

I saw where he posted you can only collect for yourself. I guess that's the all encompassing law? I didn't see where the person posted the actual law.

Off the NC coast the whips and other sessile inverts are protected.
What other law's do we have here? Even though we don't have anything like what this guy has, where are some good places to go around the NC coast?

I thought I read on here awhile ago that somebody on these boards would take people out on the coast during the night and they would collect peppermint shrimp and other things.

I've always thought doing something like that would be very fun.

If you would like to get some neat organisms, like cucumbers, small corals, polyps,That grow very well in an aquarium,Get a hold or a shrimper or a crabber....You would be surprised at what they come across..At a clam hatchery in Sea Level NC, I use to pick up 4 different stoney corals in the race way leading to the grow out area
