Winston Salem/Triad Fish Club and LFS's

Why,
is there not a fish club or many active members from Winston-Salem, Greensboro, High-point, etc..? This area is known as the TRIAD, and yes I am aware of the "SEA-T" board, but that forum is quite dead.

The Hickory and Mount Airy clubs are too far away. At over an hour travel time, I would not be willing to drive to a swap or meeting, unless it was like the down-under saltwater swaps use to be 4-5 yrs ago.

There is not a triad reef aquarium society on "carolinareefers.com" either. I feel like this area desperately needs to have something! Why is there nothing?

There are NO LFS's in this area that are worth a damn either, croft pet and hobby... is depressing to walk into. Im not even going to mention Aquarium Center in Kernersville, I have had bad experiences with them... I do not believe they are still located in the same place though.

I hear good things about places in Greensboro LFS's, but... that is where I will stop.

Can we start a club? Whom here resides in the triad and would like to see something done? Is there a demand for frags, swaps, saltwater and freshwater tanks, supplies, and etc in the triad. Winston Salem? Hello?

Aquarium Enthusiasts of the Triad has been meeting monthly on First Fridays since Sept 2013 in Winston Hall at Wake Forest University from 8-10 pm.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/233500553412439/
They are a mixed fresh & salt group, with programs on both.
But if you can't stand to be in the same room with freshwater keepers, sorry, can't help ya there.

Why are they NOT associated with CFT or Carolinareefers or the deceased SEA-T????

Have they not been informed of our existence?

There NEEDS to be an active group for the TRIAD on CFT &/or Carolinareefers, there are too many of us not to do so, I feel it behooves us as a whole.

How can we make this happen?
Aquarium Enthusiasts of Triad, NC

Hi,

My name is Erica, and this is my first post here. I'd like to introduce us. Aquarium Enthusiasts of Triad, NC is a North Carolina aquatics group created to help one another with all fish questions and issues. We meet on the first Friday of every month and also have a facebook group. Feel free to sell anything you would like, as long as it is yours. Also feel free to post any pictures or videos of your tanks; we would love to see them! Our group is only as good as our members, and we have some of the best!

Wow! Never in my life has ANYTHING requested ever happened that quickly?!

Talk about divine intervention...

..or a well placed pm from someone to someone

Erica, I am glad you have posted here. Hopefully, or rather maybe, there should be an "Aquarium Enthusiasts of Triad" sub forum under the "local fish clubs" board. Hopefully a MOD or two are watching and can make this happen. I for one would be happy to help anyway that I can.

I'll ask the forum admin folks to create a subforum under "local Fish Clubs for the TRIAD club. I dont think moderators can create or delete subforums; we can just edit, move, or delete posts and threads. Then Erica can post each month's meeting topic there, like I do for the Raleigh club and other folks do for their local clubs.

'TIS DONE !!! AQUARIUM ENTHUSIASTS OF THE TRIAD SUB-FORUM:
